Amir attends G7 Summit

Evian: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani attended the Group of Seven (G7) Summit in the French Republic on Tuesday, at the invitation of HE President Emmanuel Macron.

The event took place at Hotel Royal in Evian-les-Bains and was attended by Their Excellencies heads of state, heads of government, delegation leaders, and senior officials from G7 member states and invited countries.

HH the Amir participated in a working session focused on ending crises and ensuring stability in the Middle East. The session discussed ways to reinforce cooperation and dialogue to consolidate regional and international stability alongside the ongoing efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and ensure the flow of international navigation and commerce.

The session was also attended by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani and Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khulaifi, alongside a number of Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Amir.

Following the discussions, HH the Amir and his accompanying delegation attended a luncheon hosted by HE President Macron in honor of Their Excellencies the Heads of State, Heads of Government, and delegation leaders attending the summit.
