QFMA officials taking part in the ANNA meeting held yesterday in London.
The annual meeting of the Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA), started in London, United Kingdom, yesterday, with an active participation of Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA).

The topics on the meeting agenda include strengthening cooperation and harmonization among member states, update on ANNA strategic initiatives.
In addition to that, other topics include discussing other issues and matters on membership and partnership applications, and internal
rules.
The meeting will also discuss reports from working groups, tasks forces, and regional groups on assisting markets, digital assets, and the International Securities Identification Number (ISIN) guidelines, as well as ANNA’s annual accounts, financial statements, and the auditor’s report.
On the sidelines of the meeting, a working session will be held on “Experiencing Digital Assets in Local Markets”.
QFMA signed a partnership agreement with ANNA in 2013 and joined its membership in 2015.
This step was for the purpose of applying the international best practices in developing financial markets, providing whatever to achieve stability and transparency and protecting dealers in securities, especially those relating to facilitating trading.
ANNA was subsequently appointed by ISO (the “International Organization for Standardization”) as the Registration Authority and Maintenance Agency for the ISIN Standard (ISO 6166).
