Sofia--An aircraft operated by Hungarian low cost airline Wizz Air was forced Tuesday to make an emergency landing shortly after taking off from Sofia, the Bulgarian airport said.
Pilots on the flight with 173 passengers on board bound for Bologna in Italy noticed a crack in the cockpit window and requested permission to return.
"The landing (at 1120 GMT) was normal. No one was injured," an airport statement said. The passengers were due to be transferred to a later Wizz Air flight.
