The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs represented by Sheikh Jassim bin Mohamed bin Thani Holy Quran contest is organising a training workshop for Quran teachers in Kyrgyzstan starting Sunday.
Embraced by Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center, the workshops will be led by scholars from the Ministry of Awqaf.
The programme covers the skill of Quran teaching, using modern ways of teaching the holy Quran referring to the origins of Islamic education and introducing the trainees to some of the concepts and issues of contemporary Islam.
The ministry has held a similar workshop to 14 Russian Quran teachers in August last year.
