Doha, Qatar: Over the course of an entire week, the Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center organised a series of lectures for the Indonesian community, which were attended by hundreds.
The topics varied between preaching and Islamic jurisprudence, as the Center is keen to host speakers capable of diversifying their subjects in response to the needs and interests of the audience.
The preacher, Firanda Andirja, addressed multiple topics, including: The Best Choice is Allah’s Choice, Modesty is a Woman’s Adornment, and Ten Principles of Patience.
Other topics included Ten Qualities of the Best Women in the Sight of Allah, How to Make Life Blessed, a jurisprudential discussion on some contemporary contracts, Never Grow Weary of Doing Good, The Shortness of Worldly Life, A Call to Return to Allah, and Gray Hair as a Reminder of Death.
The audience interacted positively with the lectures and expressed their appreciation for the Center’s activities.
It is worth noting that the Malay-speaking community, Indonesians and Malaysians, has ongoing programmes throughout the year every Saturday, attended by dozens of students and parents, in addition to the religious lectures and classes organised by the Center in various mosques and at the lecture hall, whether delivered by Indonesian scholars residing in the country or guest speakers known for their reliable knowledge and virtue.
