QCB hikes interest rates by 50 basis points

Doha: Qatar Central Bank said yesterday that they raised the QCB Deposit Rate (QCBDR) by 50 basis points to 5.00 percent.

The bank also raised the QCB Lending Rate (QCBLR) by 50 basis points to 5.50 percent and the QCB Repurchase Rate (QCB Repo Rate) by 50 basis points to 5.25 percent. The Central bank added in a statement yesterday that the increase will go into effect from today.
