Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Police Sports Federation, in cooperation with the Qatar Sport for All Federation under the Ministry of Sports and Youth, has announced details of the upcoming Al-Nokhba Race, scheduled to take place in Zekreet on October 22.
The details were unveiled during a press conference held at the Police Institute, where organisers outlined the race’s objectives, technical and organisational stages, and participation requirements.
Speaking at the conference, Assistant General Supervisor of the Race Major Mohammed Saleh Al Houl, confirmed that preparations and organisational committees were ready for the event to take place as scheduled.
He said the initiative aims to promote a culture of community sports, reinforce the values of commitment, discipline and perseverance, and encourage members of society to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle.
Al Houl urged participants to comply fully with the instructions and guidelines issued by the organising committee. He also stressed the importance of relying on the relevant authorities for accurate information about race timings, gathering points and designated routes to ensure the smooth running of the event and the safety of everyone involved.
The official gathering of participants will begin at 4.30am, followed by document and data verification procedures at 5am. The race will officially start at 5:30am, with both the starting and finishing points located at the Race Village.
Abdullah Al Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sport for All Federation, said the event reflects effective institutional cooperation to support sports and promote physical activity, contributing directly to an improved quality of life.
