The sponsors of the series include ExxonMobil, Salam International, Woqod besides support from QEF and Al Shaqab.
Hathab, meaning ‘Canter’ in Arabic, is an initiative launched by HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee.

“The new showjumping series is aimed at improving the standard of horse riding among Qatari youth while encouraging the involvement of private stables and individual horse owners to grow awareness of horsemanship as part of Qatar’s history and tradition,” Ali Al Rumaihi, Executive Director of the event, said.

“This is just the beginning of what will be a great series. We are pleased with the enthusiasm shown by the young riders,” Ali, Qatar’s Olympic Games team member, added.
