The Embassy of Japan organised a Concert of Arab music by a prominent Japanese musical group “Japan Music Project” at Qatar National Theatre as a part of the on-going celebrations to mark the 40th anniversary of Qatar Japan diplomatic relations.
Japanese musicians captivated the audience with their marvelous performance and at times collaborated with Arab musicians (Marasi Ensemble) from Qatar Music Academy producing a cocktail of Japanese and Arabic music which was overwhelmingly enjoyed by the music-loving audience and praised with long and standing-ovations after their performances.
The “Japan Music Project” headed by YAS-KAZ (Percussionist and composer) is on a visit to the Gulf region including Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, with a message of friendship between Japan and the Gulf countries, wishing for peace, happiness and prosperity for all through their musical performances.
