Doha: The Ministry of Social Development and Family organized a national workshop to enhance vocational rehabilitation for priority groups in the State of Qatar. The workshop was sponsored by Her Excellency Ms. Bathina bint Ali Al Jaber Al Naeemi, Minister of Social Development and Family, in cooperation with the Doha International Family Institute.

The workshop, which was attended by more than 30 governmental and semi-governmental entities, civil society organizations, private sector institutions, and a select group of experts and specialists, aimed to promote dialogue and cooperation among various national bodies, and to explore ways to develop a more integrated and sustainable system for qualifying and empowering priority groups.

During the workshop, His Excellency Mr. Khalifa bin Isa Al Kubaisi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development and Family, emphasized the ministry’s commitment to strengthening national partnerships and unifying efforts to develop a comprehensive vocational rehabilitation system for priority groups, ensuring that the beneficiaries are at the heart of planning and development.

His Excellency explained that the Ministry of Social Development and Family, within the framework of its 2025-2030 strategy and under its motto 'From Care to Empowerment,' is working on developing more integrated and sustainable models that place the beneficiary at the heart of the planning process, making their journey clearer and more connected, starting from assessment and understanding of needs and capabilities, through rehabilitation and skills building, to empowerment, integration, and independence.

For her part, Dr. Sharifa Al-Emadi, Executive Director of the Doha International Family Institute, affirmed that the Institute's participation in organizing this workshop stems from its belief in the importance of promoting national partnerships based on knowledge and evidence, supporting the development of more integrated policies and programs that respond to the needs of priority care groups.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nasser Abdulaziz Al-Mughaisib, Director of Community Development at the Ministry of Social Development and Family, stated that the workshop follows a participatory approach that enables the participating entities to present their experiences, challenges, and visions, benefiting from their expertise to identify gaps, set priorities, explore integration opportunities, and build a clearer understanding of the beneficiary's journey and the roles of partners at its various stages.
