Doha, Qatar: The State of Qatar condemned in the strongest terms the attacks by the Houthi militia on civilian facilities and civilians in the cities of Khamis Mushait, Abha, and Taif in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia using ballistic missiles and drones, which resulted in injuries to a number of civilians and material damage to a number of residential homes and vehicles.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that these attacks represent a reprehensible act of aggression and an unacceptable disregard for lives of civilians, a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and a clear breach of the rules of international law.
The Ministry emphasized the State of Qatar's categorical rejection of attacks on civilian facilities and civilians, and underscored the necessity of an immediate cessation of these irresponsible acts.
The Ministry reiterated the State of Qatar's full solidarity with the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its support for all legitimate measures it takes to preserve its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its territories and interests. It further affirmed that the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of the State of Qatar and the collective security system of the Gulf Cooperation Council states.
The Ministry expressed the State of Qatar's wishes for the injured to recover swiftly, praying to Allah the Almighty to keep the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its people from harm's way.
