Doha, Qatar: Minister of Environment and Climate Change H E Dr Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie attended yesterday the opening of the second edition of Oman Climate Week 2026, being held in Muscat from September 14 to 16.

The event, hosted at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, brings together government entities, companies and institutions to showcase initiatives, projects and innovative technologies aimed at addressing environmental and climate challenges.

Following the opening ceremony, Dr Al Subaie toured the accompanying exhibition, where he reviewed a range of initiatives and projects in environmental protection and sustainability, clean energy, resource management, the circular economy and climate technologies.

The exhibition provides a platform for participating organisations to highlight innovative solutions and practices supporting the transition towards more sustainable and low-carbon development.

Qatar’s participation in Oman Climate Week 2026 reflects the country’s commitment to strengthening regional and international cooperation and partnerships in climate action, while promoting the exchange of expertise and experiences in environmental protection and the transition towards a green and low-carbon economy.

The participation also supports joint efforts to advance sustainable development goals and strengthen cooperation on climate and environmental issues of shared importance.

Oman Climate Week 2026 runs until September 16 and provides a platform for dialogue and knowledge exchange among stakeholders working on climate action, sustainability and environmental development.
