Doha, Qatar: President of the Republic of Djibouti H E Ismail Omar Guelleh stressed that his country’s participation in the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit reflects a firm stance of solidarity with fraternal countries and a commitment to the causes of the Arab and Islamic nations, including the rejection of aggression against fraternal states and the affirmation of unity in the face of shared challenges.
His Excellency said that the attack on Qatar does not affect Qatar alone, stressing that such an attack constitutes a direct threat to collective Arab and Islamic security, targets the stability of the entire region, and undermines confidence in their ability to protect the Arab and Islamic nations’ interests and sacred sites.
He stressed that a unified Arab position is essential, and that diplomatic measures must be backed by strong political will and international consensus to prevent further aggressions, emphasizing the importance of reinforcing the mechanism for collective deterrence.
He praised the wisdom of the Qatari leadership in dealing with this treacherous attack and highlighted the social unity, as well as the Arab and Islamic support and solidarity with Qatar, stressing that this solidarity is the strongest weapon in confronting aggression.
