Doha, Qatar: Minister of Environment and Climate Change H E Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie has honoured students participating in the second edition of the Summer Environmental Club 2025, along with supporting entities, lecturers, environmental pioneers, and supervisors, during a ceremony organised by the Ministry at its headquarters in Al Udeid Tower.
The club lasted for two weeks with the participation of 20 students, and included a series of awareness lectures, workshops, practical activities, and field visits that introduced participants to concepts of environmental sustainability and issues of climate change.
In his speech at the ceremony, the Minister stressed that the Summer Environmental Club represents a pioneering initiative to enhance youth awareness of the environment through interactive activities that allow them to explore key contemporary challenges.
He praised the active participation of the students and the initiatives and ideas they presented, which reflect the new generation’s awareness of the importance of protecting the local environment and their role in supporting the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030, particularly the pillar of environmental development. The Minster also commended the cooperation of partners, especially Unesco, which delivered specialised workshops on the green economy and climate change, in addition to lecturers and supervisors who simplified environmental concepts for the students.
