Doha: Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan HE Bakhtiyor Saidov affirmed that the Israeli attack on Doha posed a blatant threat to peace in the entire Middle East, expressing his country's full solidarity with the State of Qatar.

In his address to the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit Monday, His Excellency said, "Our hearts were shaken by the Israeli attack on Doha, a city dear to our hearts."

This represents a threat to the sovereignty of Qatar, which is committed to achieving peace and resolving conflicts through diplomatic means, he stressed, adding that the attack came at a time when the parties were discussing new plans for a ceasefire in Gaza.

It is a vicious blow to dialogue and diplomacy, a blatant disregard for regional security, and a flagrant violation of international norms and laws, he stressed.

He referred in this context to the Security Council statement on the attack on Qatar, which demonstrated the seriousness and gravity of this situation.

HE the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan praised the wisdom of the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in addressing the current developments. He affirmed that these developments have demonstrated that HH the Amir is a wise and responsible leader who is deeply committed to the security, safety, and stability of the region.

He stressed that the State of Qatar has the full right to protect its territory from any attacks and to take the necessary measures in this regard.

He noted that this painful event represents a serious threat and a major test for international peace as a whole.

His Excellency reiterated his country's condemnation of these aggressive actions and affirmed its firm stance against any attempts to threaten stability and peace in the Middle East.

He called on the international community to take the necessary measures to prevent the escalation of the current situation in the region.

HE the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan also affirmed his country's support for the rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state in accordance with United Nations resolutions, noting his country's continued diplomatic and humanitarian support for the Palestinian people
