DOHA: Al Rayyan Municipality, represented by the Cleaning Section of the Services Affairs Department, organised an educational and awareness workshop at Al Luqta Park as part of the “My Sustainable City” initiative.
The aim was to inform students about the efforts made by the Ministry of Municipality to combat flies and mosquitoes.
Simple interactive activities and easy-to-understand explanations were conducted on the sources of stagnant water and their role in the spread of mosquitoes and flies. The activities included educational games on how to prevent mosquito bites, the importance of practicing general hygiene, conserving water, and the safe disposal of waste and stagnant water.
The workshop also featured visual presentations and awareness materials with illustrations encouraging adherence to health and environmental guidelines.
