Riyadh: State Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, HE Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi, met today, June 15, 2026, in Riyadh with HE Engineer Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al Khereiji, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, they reviewed the relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them in various fields, and discussed the latest developments in the region, particularly the agreement reached between the United States of America and Iran, in addition to discussing the latest developments in Syria, Sudan, and Somalia.

Both sides expressed during the meeting their satisfaction with the agreement reached between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the cessation of military operations, as well as ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, and considered it an important step toward consolidating sustainable peace and enhancing regional and international economic growth.
Both sides affirmed their full support for all efforts and commendable endeavors aimed at enhancing regional security and stability, and reaching lasting solutions to outstanding issues through dialogue and peaceful means, in line with the principles of international law.
