DOHA: The General Directorate of Traffic has opened two new offices at Qatar Insurance Company and Bima Insurance Company to investigate accidents and complete documentation. The move is aimed at saving time of vehicle owners as they will not have to visit the investigation department of the General Directorate of Traffic or any other traffic sections.
The process of repairing vehicles can be completed at these new offices, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said.
A traffic police officer will be on duty at the new offices at the two insurance companies to receive accident complaints, investigate and complete documentation.
These offices will deal with cases of vehicle damage repair in which the parties have reconciled. In case of dispute, the traffic police office will investigate and decide who was at fault.
