Emir receives phone call from Mauritania

Doha: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday received a telephone call from Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz. They discussed relations between both countries and ways of boosting them and issues of common concern.
Hayyak Helpline extended to 21 health centres

Doha: The Primary Health Care Corporation has extended Hayyak Helpline 107 to 21 health centres. The service started last June at five centres.
Citizens and residents can call the number for information on health services, how to access them and book appointments.
The helpline is the first stage of implementation of a communication project to provide easier access to services for patients and serve as a tool for convenience.
Via the call centre, visitors will be first examined on phone and, if needed, referred to physicians at health centres. The helpline is part of a national strategy for primary healthcare.
QR23m distributed by Zakat Fund
Doha: The Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Ministry’s Zakat Fund announced that its assistance in the past two months totalled about QR23m.
In a statement, the fund said the amount was distributed to eligible people in accordance with set criteria. The fund responds swiftly to emergency and urgent cases and follows mechanisms to study cases and applications before providing assistance. It respects beneficiaries’ privacy and confidentiality. QNA
