DOHA: Emerging filmmakers improved their theoretical knowledge and technical skills on producing and directing documentary films in a realistic environment at the four-week long workshop conducted by Doha Film Institute (DFI).
Experienced international documentary filmmakers explained the nuances of how to develop script, the process of filming, editing, sound and other technical aspects to the attendees.
The workshop taught trainees to make creative documentaries, how to develop cinematic narrative with different approaches and telling stories from their heart. They also learned how to weave contemporary Arab life in their films.
DFI will select four film projects for production at the end of the workshop this Wednesday.
