Doha: Qatar participated in the closing ceremony of the activities of the national development project ‘Atmana’ (I Wish) for making national identity in its second Gulf edition in Kuwait.

A delegation from Qatar also participated in the ceremony to announce the final results of the Sheikha Hessa Salem Al-Sabah Award for Educational Leadership.

Held on May 12 at the theatre of the Great Conference Hall of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, the event was attended by a high-level delegation headed by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, and Head of Programs and Activities Department at the Ministry, Fatima Al Obaidly.

This is in support of Qatari candidate Wadha Ali Shafee Al Marri, electronic project coordinator from Juwayriyah Bint Al Harith Primary School for Girls and her ‘My Library is My World’ initiative.

The national development project ‘I Wish’, which fulfils the aspirations of young people in the field of education development and supports their aspirations, aims to enable young people to participate in realising the national vision of the GCC countries in the field of education development, in order to achieve UN’s fourth goal of the sustainable development, which is quality education.

The project also seeks to train youths, pioneers of development in the field of education development to enable them to create their national identity through their pioneering educational initiatives and experiences.

This will also help find innovative solutions to decision-makers in GCC countries to adopt them for developing education, facing the challenges of the educational process, and participating in achieving the Gulf vision in the field of education, by participating in the Sheikha Hessa Salem Al-Sabah Award for Educational Leadership.
