Doha, Qatar: Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities launched a forum on innovation, sustainability and achieving social impact, held over two days in partnership with the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, with the participation of a select group of experts, academics and specialists.
The forum aims to develop the charitable work system, promote institutional innovation, consolidate the concepts of financial sustainability, and build the capacities of non-profit organizations to measure and achieve societal impact in a sustainable manner.
Director of the Licensing and Support Department at RACA Rashid Mohammed Al Nuaimi emphasised that the forum comes as part of the Tamkeen 2026 program, which aims to enhance the institutional capabilities of charitable and humanitarian organisations in the State of Qatar and improve their performance in accordance with best practices.
He pointed out that the non-profit sector is witnessing an accelerated shift toward more efficient and sustainable business models, in light of the evolving governance requirements, the diversification of beneficiary needs, and the changing patterns of funding. This necessitates the adoption of innovative tools and the development of sustainable financial models that link resources to results and impact, in line with the strategy of the charitable and humanitarian sector in the State of Qatar 2025-2030.
He indicated that the forum represents a platform for participatory dialogue and anticipating the future, discussing challenges and developing practical solutions that maximise the sector's impact on societies.
The forum continues its work on its second day with specialised sessions that focus on transforming theoretical outputs into practical tools that can be implemented within non-profit organisations, thereby enhancing their institutional readiness and ability to respond to changes, and establishing a culture of innovation, sustainability, and impact measurement at various stages of work.
It is noted that the organisation of the forum comes within the framework of the training programs implemented by the RACA within the Tamkeen 2026 program, in support of the objectives of the RACA's 2025-2030 strategy, and the strategy of the charitable and humanitarian work sector in the State of Qatar, and in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 to enhance the efficiency of the sector and consolidate its sustainable developmental impact locally and internationally.
