Marrakesh: Qatar Chamber recently participated in the 6th Global Conference on the Elimination of Child Labour, held from 11 to 13 February 2026 in Marrakesh, Kingdom of Morocco. The Chamber was represented by Eng. Nasser Ahmed Mohamed Al-Meer, Advisor to the Chairman for Labour Affairs.

During the conference, Al-Meer delivered a speech highlighting Qatar’s commitment to promoting education for all and safeguarding children’s rights.

He reviewed the country’s experience in implementing comprehensive education policies and robust legislative frameworks, which have contributed to achieving a 0% rate of child labour, reflecting the strength and effectiveness of the national protection and oversight system.

He also emphasised the pivotal role of the private sector in supporting national efforts, highlighting how businesses can contribute sustainably by funding programs aimed at preventing and combating child labour.

Al-Meer highlighted initiatives such as public-private partnerships, corporate social responsibility programs, and investment in education and human development.
