Cairo: One person has been killed and three others injured after a passenger train collided with a truck in Egypt, authorities said.
A statement from the Egyptian National Railways said the incident occurred as a passenger service traveling between Moharram Bek and Marsa Matrouh in the country's north-west struck the vehicle, was was crossing the tracks at an unauthorized point.
The statement said the injured were taken to El Alamein Hospital for treatment.
Railway authorities added that the train resumed its journey approximately 10 minutes after the accident.
