H E Hassan said the said activities were conducted to raise awareness on ASEAN to foreign communities and promote cooperation between ASEAN and Qatar.

It has ten member states including Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Brunei Darussalam, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar. Seven out of ten members of ASEAN excluding Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar  have embassies in Qatar.
