MES bids adieu to class XII students

MES Indian School bade farewell to its current batch of class XII students at a ceremony held at the KG Auditorium of the school. Over 600 students and 250 teachers took part in the function that marked the culmination of the schooling of the 2015 batch of Class XII. The students fondly talked in reminiscence of the cherished moments of their school days at MES with heavy hearts and moist eyes.
The mixed feelings of joy and sorrow was evident in the speeches of the students’ representatives, Mohammed Hussain, Lakshmi Narayanan Krishnan and Gopika Unnikrishnan.
“Be dignified in your ways and your word, exercise piety and show utmost respect to elders and parents. Believe in yourself that you are the best in the world,” exhorted, V V Mahamood, President, MES Governing Board and Chief Guest of the day in his keynote address.
The world outside expects a lot from youths like you, and I ardently believe, MES has adequately equipped you in terms of knowledge and understanding so as to live up to the ever growing expectations and demands of the fast changing world, observed Shamsuddeen, Sr Vice President and Director Academics officiating, MES Governing Board.
As ambassadors of MES, I hope you will spread the world around the virtues and impeccable qualities that you have imbibed during your schooling, opined Azeez K P, General Secretary, MES Governing Board.
“Honesty and perseverance should be your guard of armour and you shall be elevated with the dignity of real winners,” remarked, Principal, Sasidharan A P, while felicitating the outgoing students.
K P Abdul Hameed, President, IES College of Engineering Chittilappilly, Kerala, was also attended the function.
Emad Khalil Thakur (Science) and Antony Babu (Commerce) were honoured as the best out going students in the boys’ section while Haifa Basheer (Science) and Aysha Shirin (Commerce) won the best out going student title in the girls’ section of the school. Hassan Mohammed Nadeem (Science) and Manali Sudhir Dhage (Science) were honoured as the best out going students from CBSE-i.
Nadir Abdul Salam, Prarath Roshni and Farjana Hoque were declared as the talent of the year from the Boys’, Girls’ and CBSE-i sections of the school respectively. Bharath Gopakumar  (Boys’), Sowmyalakshmi (Girls’) and Mohammed Husain (CBSE-i) were honoured as the best outgoing prefects Darlin Cherian Mathew (Boys’), Salma Ibrahim (Girls’) and Fathima Sayima Khan (CBSE-i) were honoured as the best outgoing Campus Care Force.
As many as 609 students who have completed their class XII at the school were honoured with mementoes.
Dr Dinesh Babu, Senior Vice Principal, and Mohammad Illyas, Teacher, Department of Chemistry, addressed the students.
Amirtham Mary, Head, Department of Physics, formally welcomed the gathering while Antony Babu, the Head Prefect, proposed a vote of thanks.
