Qatari weightlifter Fares Ibrahim Hassouna cuts a cake with officials of the Qatar Fencing and Weightlifting Federation (QFWF) during a felicitation ceremony held at the federation headquarters yesterday.
Fares made the country proud when he clinched the silver medal at the 2017 World Weightlifting Championships in Anaheim, California, on Sunday.
The 19-year-old Qatari star won the medal after he managed to lift 220kg during the 94kg category final.
