MES Indian School held its 38th Annual Sports Meet on November 7-8. The two day event, conducted separately for boys and girls, started with a cultural presentation. The chief guest P S Sasi Kumar, First Secretary (HOC consular Political, Economic & Commercial), Embassy of India, in the inaugural address, praised the sports ethos of the school and declared the 38th Sports Meet open. The guests of honour Paul Ashtley, Charlette Ashtley (Head, Aspire Venues & Events, Aspire logistic) and Sam Chapman, Sports Operations Manager, MTM group, Hamad Aquatic centre, Aspire Zone, were present on the occasion.
The function started with a prayer by Sakeena Safa, followed a formal welcome by Assistant Head Girl, Sai Spandana. The National champions and athletes of the school were the torch-bearers in the function followed by a spectacular march past with house captains holding their respective flags. The school sports captain Mohammed Salih Salim led the oath taking ceremony. The students showcased their skills with an Artistic Gymnastics and Pyramid. The Assistant Head Boy Suhail Subair proposed the vote of thanks while Mohammed Irfan V, Sreekumar Ravindra Kumar and Irene Abraham compered the programme.The Peninsula
