Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Sports for All Federation, under the Ministry of Sports and Youth, announced that it will participate in organizing the ''We Run Doha'' race in cooperation with French football club Paris Saint-Germain. The event is scheduled for October 30 at Lusail International Circuit, with an expected turnout of up to 2,000 male and female participants across different age groups.

The race will feature three distances: 1 kilometer for children and 5 and 10 kilometers for adults. Families, young people, runners and corporate teams are expected to take part, as organizers seek to encourage physical activity across the community and promote sports as a way of life. Registration is open to all ages and nationalities through the Qatar Sports for All Federation's app.

Abdullah Al Dosari, the federation's executive director, said the race would be an important addition to Qatar's calendar of community sporting events. He said the partnership with Paris Saint-Germain would give the event a distinctive character and offer participants a sporting experience that combines an international dimension with a local flavor.

Al Dosari said the range of race distances reflected the organizers' commitment to giving people of different ages and fitness levels an opportunity to participate. This, he said, would help expand participation in running and encourage greater interest in community sporting activities.

He added that hosting the race at Lusail International Circuit would offer participants an exceptional experience, given the venue's international standing and its record of hosting major sporting events. Holding the race at the circuit, he said, would be an additional draw for participants.

Al Dosari expressed hope that the race would attract a large turnout and foster a distinctive competitive atmosphere, helping entrench a culture of physical activity and encouraging community members to adopt healthy, active lifestyles.

The race is part of broader efforts to promote community sports in Qatar and provide a range of sporting events that allow people of all ages to engage in physical activity in an environment combining competition and enjoyment.
