Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education held a ceremony to honor private schools and kindergartens that won the third edition of the 'Rayty Baydaa' (My Flag is White) Award for the 2025–2026 academic year.

The ceremony took place at the Ministry's theater at its permanent headquarters, recognizing private educational institutions and nurseries that demonstrated full compliance with governing regulations and legislation. Institutions that maintained a violation-free record for three consecutive years were also awarded the 'Rayty Baydaa' Trophy.

The event aims to reinforce standards of security, safety and administrative discipline in educational environments, encourage institutions to continuously improve their educational facilities and provide a safe environment for students. It also recognizes private educational institutions and staff who prioritize regulatory compliance in their operations.

The award is based on regulatory and administrative criteria requiring institutions to maintain records free of violations, complaints and warnings throughout the academic year, according to reports approved by the Licensing Section.

These criteria include compliance with operational requirements, regulations and approved licenses, the results of administrative and on-site inspections and follow-ups, the quality of relationships between school administrations and parents, as well as commitment, accuracy and responsiveness in dealings with the Private Schools and Kindergartens Department.

Dr. Rania Mohammed, Director of the Private Schools and Kindergartens Department, emphasized that the "My Flag is White" Award promotes a culture of institutional compliance among private schools and kindergartens and reinforces respect for governing laws and regulations.

She noted that such compliance helps ensure a safe and stable educational environment, protects students' rights and strengthens parents' confidence in educational institutions.

Dr. Mohammed explained that the third edition marks the completion of the award's first cycle and the recognition of the first group of educational institutions to receive the trophy after meeting the approved criteria for three consecutive years.

She said a total of 207 private schools and kindergartens were honored this year, comprising 126 schools and 81 kindergartens, compared with 166 institutions last year. This increase came despite stricter eligibility criteria, including the addition of licensing-related warnings to the award's assessment standards.

During the ceremony, 63 schools and kindergartens received trophies, 45 received shields, and 99 were presented with certificates of thanks and appreciation.

The 'Rayty Baydaa' Award aims to highlight successful models in the education sector as examples for other private schools and kindergartens, encourage positive competition and excellence in performance, and motivate private educational institutions to operate according to the highest standards of quality and transparency.
