Doha, Qatar: Doha will host an emergency Arab-Islamic summit tomorrow (Monday), convened in response to recent developments in the region.
The summit will review a draft statement on the Israeli attack on the State of Qatar, submitted by the preparatory meeting of Arab and Islamic foreign ministers held today.
The convening of the Arab-Islamic Summit at this time has its significance, as it reflects the broad Arab and Islamic solidarity with the State of Qatar in confronting the cowardly Israeli aggression that targeted the residential headquarters of several Hamas leaders, and these countries’ categorical rejection of the state terrorism practiced by Israel.

Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani addresses the preparatory meeting for the emergency Arab-Islamic Summit on Sunday in Doha. Here are some key points during his speech:
- "Israel's transgression of international law, human principles, and diplomatic norms, was manifested in the barbaric attack on Doha."
- "This attack can only be described as state terrorism."
- "The reckless and treacherous Israeli aggression was committed while Qatar was hosting official, public negotiations that the Israeli side was aware of, that were aimed at a ceasefire in Gaza."
- "Instead of appreciating the State of Qatar's efforts, or attempting to maintain the progress achieved during the negotiations, Israel went and bombed the residential headquarters hosting the Hamas negotiation team."
- "What happened was not just the targeting of a location, but an attack on the principle of mediation itself and on all that diplomacy provides in alternatives to war."

- "This aggression will only lead to aborting the de-escalation process, and affirms the Israeli government's rejection of the peaceful pathways towards resolving the Palestinian cause."
- "And you might agree with me in that, what encourages Israel to continue doing this is the silence –or rather inability–of the international community to hold it accountable, and the absence of any consequences for whichever crime Israel chooses to commit."
- "The inhumane behaviour of the Israeli occupation government can only be interpreted as an open message that states that Israel has no red lines, and that it will continue to destabilise any country in the world, and to compromise any diplomatic efforts that don't align with its agenda."
- "Israel must be aware that the ongoing genocidal war being waged on the brotherly Palestinian people, with the goal of driving them out of their land and forcibly displacing them out of their homeland, will not succeed no matter how many claims it tries to justify it with."
- "Israel's practices will not deter us from continuing our efforts with Egypt and the United States to stop the war."
- "We appreciate the international consensus in the Security Council condemning Israel and voicing support for the State of Qatar."
