QF, Siemens sign training agreement

DOHA: Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) has entered into an agreement with Siemens WLL Qatar that will see specially-selected QF staff members participate in a comprehensive training programme.
The initiative, called ‘Qatar Foundation and Siemens Talent Training Program’ is evidence of the two organisations’ joint efforts in unlocking potential by investing in human capital, a press statement by Qatar Foundation said. 
The agreement was signed by Fahad Al Qahtani, Group Executive Director of Qatar Foundation, and Abdurrahman Fatih Sakiz, Chief Executive Officer, Siemens 
WLL Qatar.
“We are delighted to be collaborating with Siemens for this innovative and comprehensive internship programme,” said Al Qahtani commenting on the agreement. “We believe that people are our greatest asset, and with this programme, our employees are set to greatly benefit from an exchange of knowledge, experience, and best practices. The initiative itself also reflects our on-going dedication to unlocking human potential at every level. And by serving as a platform for this process, we are continuing to support Qatar’s National Vision, and its goal of propelling this country to success.”
Sakiz said, “I am very pleased by our collaborative training approach as it is an important step towards Siemens’ aspiration to contribute to the development of people of Qatar. The employees involved will greatly benefit from this knowledge exchange.”
A number of other senior officials from QF and Siemens WLL were also present at the signing ceremony, including Jawaher Al Kuwari, Talent Development Director, Qatar Foundation; Hissa Al Kubaisi, Head of National Development, Qatar Foundation; Hamad Alkhayyat, Senior Executive Vice President, Siemens WLL; and Stefan Werner, Chief Financial Officer, Siemens WLL.
The three QF staff members specially-selected to take part in the inaugural programme are Ahmed Al Sumaiti, Haya Al Khater, and Aisha Al Muhannadi. During the course of the internship, the trainees will take part in a series of on-site workshops and training sessions. Led by a team of Siemens experts, the participants will benefit from a wealth of economic, social, and environmental knowledge. The internship programme will start today.
