Cairo: The Shura Council took part yesterday in the meeting of the temporary diplomatic committee of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU) convened in Cairo, Egypt.

H E Dr. Sultan bin Hassan Al Dosari represented the council in the meeting.
The meeting discussed the council’s suggestion on advancing the voting mechanism on the urgent items during the IPU General Assembly. In addition, the participants deliberated on a host of topics, foremost of which were the organisational regulation of the Arab parliamentary excellence award, internal regulation of the Arab geopolitical group within the IPU, and the amended internal system of AIPU.
