Doha: McNair Chambers will host a webinar on the subject of ‘GCC Parties before the English Courts’ today for the benefit of the legal and business community in Qatar and the GCC region.
The webinar will be chaired by Sir Robin Jacob, a former judge of the Court of Appeal of England & Wales and a prominent arbitrator, and will feature a presentation from Professor Khawar Qureshi QC, who has represented many GCC states and parties in Court litigation from his office in London and is Head of McNair Chambers, in addition to a panel discussion with litigation lawyers and in-house counsel from both the UK and the GCC region.
Professor Khawar Qureshi QC said, “The English Courts exercise jurisdiction over foreign parties extensively. It is vital to be aware of the key points in this regard.
