Kathmandu: Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), sent medical aid to Nepal, as this aid aims to counter the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandamic.
Director-General of QFFD, H E Khalifa bin Jassim Al Kuwari said that this aid, which includes a liquid medical oxygen tank, and was delivered to Hetauda Hospital in Bagmati, “contributes to the third goal of the Sustainable Development Goals, which is concerned with health, and also reflects the great medical efforts made by Qatar to combat the outbreak of this pandemic, which represents a common threat that face the whole world, as it is considered a common international responsibility that the whole world is uniting to confront.”
For his part, Ambassador of Qatar to Nepal H E Yusouf bin Mohammed Al Hail confirmed that the aid provided by Qatar to the friendly Nepal represents support for its efforts to confront and contain the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, and to strengthen its health infrastructure.
The aid also reflects the strong relationship between the two friendly countries and it is a further evidence of collaboration and coordination of common positions between Qatar and Nepal.
