Prominent writers and intellectuals from the southern Indian state of Kerala will attend a literary workshop being held by the Friends Cultural Center (FCC) from May 21 to May 23. The workshop, Akshara Pravasam, is part of FCC’s annual Kerala festival titled Qatar Keraleeyam 2015. The participating writers include Perumbadavam Sreedharan, president of Kerala Sahithya Academy, C Radhakrishnan, K Sachidanandan, Professor M Thomas Mathew, Indu Menon and V A Kabeer. The work shop will take place at the FCC auditorium in Hilal.
Qatar Keraleeyam will feature Film Festival, School Arts Festival, Women’s Fest, Men’s Cultural and Arts Fest and drama competition. An organissing committee has been set up for the successful conduct of the programme. Avani Vijayakumar, K Muhammed Essa, Joppachan, Unnikrishnan, KC Abdul Latheef and Pradeep Menon are the patrons. Abdu Samad Kottampara is the programme coordinator, Thanseem Kutyadi is the general convener and Yatheendran Master the programme convener. The conveners are CR Manoj, Ismail Meladi, Nissar N V, Moitheen P and Aparna Raneesh.
