Doha: The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) has issued an aeronautical information circular (AIC) to the airspace users with regard to the establishment of Doha Flight Information Region (FIR), which includes the limit of territorial waters and sovereign boundary of the State of Qatar.
This comes after the decision by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Council agreeing on proceeding with the establishment of a Doha FIR.
All parties concerned are encouraged to monitor the progress on the implementation of the Doha FIR via the Qatar Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM) and the Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) at www.caa.gov.qa
