Doha: The Doha Film Institute (DFI) announced that it will show the Oscar-nominated movie The Message released in 1976, today at 9pm, as part of its Cinema Under the Stars programme.
This will be shown at Heenat Salma Farm located at Ash Shahaniyah. DFI said the screening is “for a series of special screenings with sweet and savoury snacks or an oh-so-scrumptious Suhoor this Ramadan.”
The prices of tickets which can be purchased at its website has three options: Film admission and Snack Package for QR100; Film admission and Suhoor Package for 3-12 years old, QR150; and Film Admission and Suhoor Package, QR250.
The Message (originally known as Mohammad, Messenger of Allah) is a 1976 Islamic epic drama film directed and produced by Moustapha Akkad, chronicling the life and times of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) through the perspective of his uncle Hamza ibn Abdul Muttalib and adopted son Zayd ibn Harithah.
The film was nominated for Best Original Score at the 50th Academy Awards.
