The students of Grade 2 at Doha Modern Indian School conducted an activity named ‘The Eatwell Plate” to mark the World Health Day. Children made paper plates using charts, drew different types of food and coloured them. The Eatwell plates explained how food can be classified into five groups shown as wedges of different size. The teacher moved around as a facilitator, reinforcing the learning of different categories of food. The aim of this activity was to give an awareness to students about healthy food and drinks and what they should ‘eat’ to stay healthy.
