Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior (MoI) clarified at around 4:25am that the temporary precautionary evacuation measures previously announced applied only to residents in the specified areas who received notifications through the National Alert System.
The Ministry's clarification added that safe alternative accommodations have been provided for those affected, while some have chosen to move to safe places of their own choice, until the security threat passes.
The Ministry also indicated that individuals covered by the temporary precautionary evacuation may contact (40442999) if they require assistance or have any inquiries.
MoI had announced on March 14, 2026, at around 12:45am, through their X account, that the relevant authorities were evacuating a number of specified areas as a temporary precautionary measure, in the interest of public safety until the threat has subsided.
It urged everyone to obtain information from official sources and to comply with the instructions issued by the competent authorities.
