Istanbul: Turkish Police have detained four suspects in connection with the Istanbul suicide bomb attack, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said late on Wednesday.
A blast at the city's Sultanahmet district on Tuesday killed ten people and wounded 15 others.
Police have identified the suicide bomber, Davutoglu told journalists in Istanbul but did not supply a name, according to Anadolu Agency (AA).
He said that the bomber had ISIS links. "Police were not in pursuit of the bomber. He had come to Turkey as an ordinary refugee. However, after the attack, all his contacts were brought out," Davutoglu said
"We are trying to find out who are the real actors behind this," he said, suggesting that other parties may have helped ISIS in carrying out Tuesday's attack.
"We will take more effective measures to ensure public security in every corner of Turkey and especially in Istanbul," Davutoglu said.
