Doha, Qatar: The Air Cargo Customs Department successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle narcotic substances into the country through Hamad International Airport.
The operation began when a female passenger arriving in Qatar aroused the suspicion of a customs inspector.

Upon subjecting her luggage to scanning and manual inspection, officers discovered narcotics concealed in secret pockets sewn inside her clothing.
According to authorities, the seized substances consisted of 2.8 kilograms of hashish and 900 grams of methamphetamine (commonly known as shabu).
