5.1 magnitude earthquake strikes Northern Pakistan

Islamabad, Pakistan: An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale struck northern Pakistan on Thursday.

The US Geological Survey reported that the epicenter was at a depth of 58.9 kilometers in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of northern Pakistan.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
