Doha: Karnataka Sangha Qatar Management Committee honoured Syed Shoukath Ali, Principal of Ideal Indian School, during a farewell ceremony organised by the Indian Culture Centre.
Syed Shoukath Ali hails from Bengaluru, Karnataka. During his tenure of 10 years in Qatar, he has supported the Kannada community in the country and contributed in supporting and developing Kannada as a language in the school.
Dignitaries who graced the event included 1st secretary from the Embassy of India, Shri Shankpal; President of Indian Cultural Centre, Shri P N Baburajan; Vice-President of Indian Cultural Centre, Shri Subramanya Hebbagelu; Principals from various schools in Qatar; ICC General-Secretary, Krishna Kumar; Advisory Committee Member, Prasad; and Karnataka Sangha Qatar President, Shri Mahesh Gowda.
