DOHA: The public prosecution has transferred the cases of some fuel stations to court due to lack of commitment in complying with the safety and security norms as per the directions from authorities concerned, local Arabic daily Al Raya reported today.
The security system management had issued letters notifying all petrol stations in the country to install CCTV cameras and other needful security monitoring devices at their facilities within a given timeframe as per requirements under Law No. 9 of 2011.
However, during an inspection tour, the authorities concerned found that some fuel stations failed to comply with the instructions given under the law.
