Doha: Master CC defeated Rawal County by four wickets in a match of the Ramadan Tournament at the West End Park Stadium on Friday.
Rawal County won the toss and elected to bat. They managed to score 161 runs for the loss of five wickets in their stipulated 20 overs.
In the second innings, Master CC took to their task with steely determination — posting 162/6 in 19.3 overs. Khadeer hit 34 runs and Manjula scored 29 to help secure a crucial victory. Talha took two wickets and Naeem scalped one for Rawal but it wasn’t enough to prevent a defeat.
Mr. Michael Scallon, Head of Sport at West End Park, said: “The matches continue to come thick and fast, competition is fierce to reach the quarter-final stages and things are going to become even more interesting as we approach the business end of the tournament.
“The organisers are very happy with the feedback thus far and will be watching the tournament with great interest as it develops.”
“I would also like to thank Sprite, Vodafone, Doha Bank, Solo Events, Green Facilities, Century 21, U-Save Car Hire, Gulf Bridge Services for their continued support of the tournament,” Scallon said.
Matches begin daily at 7:45pm and entry is free for the public.
