Sharp Middle East and Almuftah Trading & Contracting WLL, part of Almuftah Group, conducted road shows at Tornado Tower and Qatar Foundation to preview the latest Sharp Intelligent Touch Board (ITB) for corporate, educational & training establishments.
From June 22, visitors and business representatives were shown the new multi-touch display in the company-sponsored live demonstration. The first of its kind in Qatar, the interactive event was aimed at corporate and education clients who require smarter ways of facilitating their needs, including for meetings, interactive presentation, training, class room applications along with many more real-time collaboration.
“With its enhanced functionalities and features, the Intelligent Touch Board will empower businesses and educational institutions in their endeavour to create the best interactive experience for employees and students,” according to Tomoo Shimizu, Director Business Solutions Division of Sharp Middle East & Africa.
Ibrahim A Al Muftah, Managing Director of Almuftah Group, said: “The road show at Tornado Tower was a great success and we hope to gather more interest for the ITB in the next series of road shows planned in the forthcoming months.”
Sharp’s ITB makes meetings more intuitive, interactive and collaborative. It allows simultaneous input by up to four users using their tablet and/or smart phones. The screen enables high-speed touch detection and provides a speedy and smooth writing experience for users; thanks to the improved refresh rate and the new pressure sensor pen.
The touch panel detects the position of the sensor pen at the rate of 200 times per second, which is 1.4 times faster compared to existing models.
The new touch board is available in two sizes - 60” and 70” and is bundled with “Touch Display Link 2.0”, the support software that enables wireless sharing of onscreen content and bi-directional writing between ITB and desktops/laptops or mobile devices. It also features handwriting recognition function that converts handwriting into standard text, a very handy feature when sharing meeting or classroom notes with participants or students.
