Caracas: Venezuela confirmed late Friday the death of the leader of the Tren de Aragua, a transnational gang founded in Venezuela, during a "joint operation" with the United States.
"There were clashes with members of these criminal structures, in which Hector Rusthenford Guerrero Flores, alias 'Nino Guerrero,' was neutralized," the Ministry of Communications said in a statement.
US President Donald Trump said earlier Friday the US had carried out a deadly strike on the leader.
