ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Pervez Rashid has said some elements want to create provocation through politics of non-issues.

In response to Altaf Hussain’s statement in which the MQM chief sought apology from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over his remarks, the minister said the premier had picked out words that were actually spoken by another speaker.

He said that using such words didn’t mean to humiliate and dishearten anyone.

The minister said the prime minister had used the words that were suitable to the occasion. “Attributing someone else words to prime minister is incorrect,” Pervez Rashid added.
