Doha, Qatar: Visit Qatar and the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) have confirmed that Lusail City will host the 2026 Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final for the second consecutive year, following the success and strong public engagement of the event’s inaugural edition in Qatar in 2025.
Taking place from December 10–12, 2026, the multi-day endurance festival will bring together professional athletes, amateur competitors, and community participants for a dynamic programme of races designed for all ages and fitness levels. The event will feature the Open T100 race, Sprint Triathlon, T100 Age Group World Championships, as well as 1km and 5km community runs.
The event forms part of the wider 2026 T100 Triathlon World Tour, which sees the world’s top professional triathletes compete across a series of iconic international destinations from March until the end-of-season finale at the Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championships in December.
Competitors will take on PTO’s signature T100 distance format, beginning with a 2km swim in the Arabian Gulf, followed by an 80km cycling course through Lusail’s iconic streets, and concluding with an 18km run across Lusail Plaza and Boulevard.
The championship weekend will also include an immersive village featuring family-friendly entertainment, wellness activations, food experiences, and spectator activities, creating a vibrant festival atmosphere for participants and their supporters.
As the final stage of the global T100 Triathlon World Tour, the event reflects Visit Qatar’s ongoing commitment to strengthening Qatar’s position as a leading global destination for sports tourism and experiential travel. The championship also highlights the country’s world-class infrastructure, year-round events calendar, and diverse leisure and lifestyle offerings that continue to attract visitors from around the world.
